Starting or running an online business while juggling family and managing your home can feel chaotic without systems in place. As a Christian mom, your time and resources are precious, and using the right tools is an act of stewardship.
If you’re selling anything online, it’s important to have a website or a storefront, a sales funnel to attract customers, and an email list to communicate and build trust with your audience.
And to do this successfully, you need the right tools. These tools will help you automate your business to save time, allowing you to focus on your family and your calling — the reasons you started your business in the first place.
Here are 4 must-have tools that can help you get noticed, get your message out into the online world, and make sure your audience remembers you when it's time to make a purchase.
I love all these tools, but be sure to read right to the end to see my favourites!
Here are my top 4 tools for Mamapreneurs:
1. A Sales Funnel Builder
Example: Clickfunnels
Sales funnels are essential for guiding potential clients from a something that caught their attention through to hitting the “buy now” button.
ClickFunnels is a popular tool that allows you to create visually stunning, high-converting sales funnels without needing to know how to code.
Why It’s Great for Mompreneurs:
Pro Tip: Use ClickFunnels’ pre-designed templates to save time and focus on creating content for your audience.
Even if you decide not to go with Clickfunnels long-term, I would consider taking advantage of their free educational opportunities. I learned so much about the value of funnels and how they work from the One Funnel Away Challenge.

2. A Simple Digital Storefront
Example: Stan Store
If you’re selling one or a few digital products like eBooks, coaching sessions, or templates, Stan Store is a streamlined platform that lets you showcase and sell your products beautifully.
Why It’s Great for Mompreneurs:
Imagine waking up to an email notifying you of a new sale — all while you were sleeping or hanging out with your kiddos! You can easily add new products and link from social media to your digital storefront so your customers can purchase 24/7.
Try a 14 day free trial and start selling with Stan Store!!
3. A Checkout Solution with Upsell Features
Example: Thrivecart
Thrivecart helps you create high-converting checkout pages, manage payments, and increase revenue with upsells and downsells. That means, when someone purchases one of your products, you can present other offers to them during the checkout process — resulting in more sales overall.
Thrivecart pages look great and the company has a reputation for being high-converting. I've personally bought many courses through the platform and it works flawlessly.
Why It’s Great for Mompreneurs:
Thrivecart makes it easy to earn more from your offers with upsells and downsells. Here’s an example: If you’re selling an online course, you can use Thrivecart’s upsell feature to add an optional workbook and increase your revenue by 20%.
Simplify your checkout process and SKIP THE MONTHLY PAYMENT with Thrivecart!
4. An Email Marketing Platform
Example: Kit (formerly ConvertKit)
Email marketing is one of the best ways to keep communicating with potential customers and build lasting relationships. Think about social media for a minute.
Right now, there’s a lot in the news about TikTok being banned. On other platforms, you might lose access to your account for various reasons. I have one friend who was banned from her own (very large) private group for months! What would you do if it happened to you? And what would happen to your business?
When you build an email list, it belongs to you — unlike your social media platform. Email feels a little more intimate and you have a lot more control. You and your audience can develop a relationship away from the public eye while you share info about yourself and your products, seasonal offers and collaborations, and more (to people who are already interested in what you have to say.)
Kit is an excellent tool for managing your email list and automating campaigns whether you are just starting out or have complicated email lists with diverse segmenting. Created for creators, Kit understands your need to turn your followers into raving fans and offers a variety of helpful features along with analytics to help you track your progress. And with industry-leading deliverability, Kit keeps your emails out of your customers' SPAM folders.
Why It's Great for Mompreneurs:
Pro Tip: Each email marketing solution offers different features. One creator may choose Flodesk for aesthetics while another may prefer Kit for functionality. Do some research to see which brand offers the features most important to you.
Try a free trial with Kit today and grow your email list with ease!
Or . . . You Could Use An All-in-One Business Platform
My Favorite: Systeme.io
With all these responsibilities, it’s easy to feel like you’re constantly switching between software platforms (and if you’re like me, it’s easy to get distracted every time you open a new tab). Not only that, but the monthly subscriptions to all these programs can feel absolutely out of control!
That’s why I love Systeme.io — a tool that combines email marketing, website building, funnel creation, and more — in one affordable, user-friendly platform.
Why It’s Great for Mompreneurs:
As a mom trying to juggle all the tasks of running a busy home along with regular interruptions (Mo-om!!! Where are my socks?), you don’t need another set of passwords to remember, subscriptions to pay, or learning curves to navigate.
And it’s perfect for new mompreneurs bootstrapping their businesses. If you’re just starting out, Systeme.io’s free plan includes all the basics you need to get your business off the ground. As you grow, you can easily upgrade to a very affordable paid plan.

Bonus Tools for the Busy Mompreneur
1. A Graphic Design Tool
One of my all-time favorites: Canva
Canva allows you to create stunning visuals for your brand without a degree in design. Use it for lead magnets, social media posts, or product images. While a premium subscription offers more features and better stock images, you can absolutely run your business on the free plan.
2. An AI Tool
Example: Chat GPT
AI is amazing when it comes to brainstorming ideas for blog or social media posts, coming up with email campaigns, or generating social media captions quickly. It can also help you create step-by-step plans to keep yourself on track. These tools can save you a tonne of time, especially if you’re not a writer.
BUT, and this is a big but — I never recommend using AI to write your content without going through it with a fine-toothed comb.
You’ll definitely want to edit for accuracy, add your personality to make sure your content sounds like you, and fact check information — because AI makes things up!!
How to Get Started with Digital Tools
Choose one or two tools to start with, based on your current needs. An all-in-one platform like Systeme.io is perfect because you can get started for free and see how everything works together.
Take advantage of free trials to test which tools work best for you. Everyone I know has reasons for preferring one specific tool over another. Once you really understand the purpose of each tool and how it works, you’ll develop your own preferences, so it’s best to try things out without investing a lot at first.
Building a business is manageable with the right tools at your side. These four tools — plus Canva and AI — will help you streamline your business while focusing on what matters most: your family and your faith.
